DE On-site Wastewater Recycling Association Scholarship (DOWRA)

Scholarship Overview: Delaware residents pursuing or will pursue a certification or a degree in the onsite wastewater field.

Scholarship Details:

DOWRA is offering educational scholarships for those seeking licensure or certification in a position supporting an onsite wastewater service field, or students pursuing a degree in a formal undergraduate or graduate academic program leading to a degree that contributes to the onsite wastewater field.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Applicant must be a permanent resident of the State of Delaware.

2. Applicants must be seeking licensure or certification in a position supporting an onsite wastewater service field, or students pursuing a degree in a formal undergraduate or graduate academic program leading to a degree that contributes to the onsite wastewater field.

3. Within 6 months of a scholarship award, the awardee must utilize an awarded scholarship, for the purposes detailed in the award.

 

Application Requirements:

  1. Paper Application completed, signed, and dated
  2. A written essay
  3. Letter of Recommendation from a current DOWRA member

Completed applications will be received beginning immediately and continuing until September 1st of each year, or until allocated funds have been awarded. This is a first come, first served basis and funding is limited.

Application Requirements: Delaware Residents Only

Essay Details:

A written essay (proposal) of 250 words or less explaining the Applicants’ career goals and how the use of this scholarship will advance those goals to the benefit of the on site wastewater industry.

Award Amount: $1,000

Award Details:

(2) $ 1,000.00 each for any interested student who wishes to continue their education in the Environmental fields.

Following review of the completed application, DOWRA will notify the applicant in writing of the approval status and the amount of the scholarship award. DOWRA reserves the right to reject any, or all applications or request additional information from the application to complete its review of the application. Within 6 months of a scholarship award, the awardee must utilize an awarded scholarship, for the purposes detailed in the award.
