Scholarship Details:
The Hannah Amgott Memorial Scholarship was established in 2003 to reward students exhibiting excellence in the pursuit of careers as K-12 educators. After two decades, this scholarship is being sunset in 2024. This will be the final application cycle.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be currently are enrolled at a DVEC School (see list at www.dvec.net/contacts)
- You must either:
- Complete your teaching/education-related degree in May/June 2025, August 2025 or December 2025; or
- Will have completed your coursework toward teaching or school counseling certification in May/June 2025, August 2025 or December 2025

Essay Details:
Please write an essay (500 words max.) responding to whichever ONE of the following is relevant to you:
1. If you don’t already have experience as an educator, discuss a significant experience in your life that helped form or confirm your desire to be an educator.
OR
2. If you do have experience as an educator, discuss how you have already made an impact in the field of education.
Award Amount: $2,500
