Scholarship Overview: Scholarship for children of a parent who died or was seriously injured in a Delaware workers’ compensation accident

Scholarship Details:
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be a dependent of a parent who was seriously or fatally injured in a Delaware work-related accident
- Must be age 26 or younger
- Enrolled as a full-time student at a high school (senior), technical school or college/university
- Must have obtained a high school diploma at the time of first disbursement
Applicant must be able to demonstrate financial need to pay for post-secondary education

- Proof of a compensable workers’ compensation claim (letter from insurance company or State Board ) required
- Short answer/essay question

Essay Details:
Brief description of the parent’s work accident and the impact of same upon the applicant as well as the education and career goals of the applicant, as requested in the application submission requirements
Award Amount: $10,000.00

Scholarships are available up to $10,000 per year
