Scholarship Overview: Graduating Delaware high school senior pursuing a degree related to our mission mandate. Examples of related fields are, but are not limited to, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Conservation, Wildlife Management, Forestry, Forestry Conservation, Forest Resource Management, Fisheries and Wildlife Management, Natural Resources, or becoming a Wildlife Conservation Officer.

Scholarship Details:
Founded in 1982, Whitetails Unlimited is a national nonprofit conservation organization that has remained true to its mission and made great strides in the field of conservation. We have gained the reputation of being the nation’s premier organization, dedicating our resources to the betterment of white-tailed deer and their environment. Whitetails Unlimited mission is to raise funds in support of: (1) Educational programs (2) Wildlife habitat enhancement and acquisitions (3) Preservation of the hunting tradition and shooting sports for future generations.
In keeping with our mission, the Whitetails Unlimited – Delaware Chapter is offering two (2) $2,500 scholarships to Delaware high school graduating seniors.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a senior graduating from a Delaware high school.
- Graduate with a 3.0 or higher GPA, based on the 4.0 grading scale, or equivalent based on their school’s grading system.
- Pursue a college major related to our mission mandate. Examples of related fields are, but are not limited to, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Conservation, Wildlife Management, Forestry, Forestry Conservation, Forest Resource Management, Fisheries and Wildlife Management, Natural Resources, or becoming a Wildlife Conservation Officer.
- Be involved in school and community activities.
- Demonstrate their ability as a leader among their school’s peers.
- Demonstrate their community involvement leadership skills.
Application Requirements:
- Submit an essay. (Reference ‘Part IV: Essay’ listed on the application form)
- Submit a completed application, with references, by March 31st.
- Submit two (2) letters of recommendation, one from a senior-year teacher and one from their Guidance Counselor, Vice-Principal, or Principal. (Additional recommendations from club, community, or church activity leaders are welcome.)

Essay Details:
Share an outdoor experience that significantly impacted your life and will help you succeed in your chosen field of study.
The essay must be typewritten, double-spaced, and not exceed two (2) pages.
Award Amount: $2500
Award Details:
$2500 Scholarships will be awarded to two Delaware graduating high school seniors pursuing a degree in a field related to our Mission Mandate. Examples of related fields are, but are not limited to, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Conservation, Wildlife Management, Forestry, Forestry Conservation, Forest Resource Management, Fisheries and Wildlife Management, Natural Resources, or becoming a Wildlife Conservation Officer.
