Scholarship Overview: Graduating female senior from Cape Henlopen, Sussex Academy, Sussex Central, Sussex Tech or Indian River High School who will pursue a degree to teach

Eligibility Requirements:
- Current female seniors at one of the following area public high schools: Cape Henlopen, Indian River, Sussex Academy, Sussex Central, or Sussex Technical.
- Planning to pursue a degree at college or university next fall.
- Applicant must provide a screenshot of the FAFSA SAI number along with your name as it appears on the FAFSA Submission Summary to be considered for the need-based scholarship.
Application Requirements:
- Completed Scholarship Application Need Based (must be typed not handwritten; PDF is fillable on Apple devices, otherwise complete in Word and return in PDF format)
- Provide a screenshot of the FAFSA SAI number along with your name as it appears on the FAFSA Submission Summary
- Rigorous original essay of up to 400 words that answers the question below
- Current transcript
- List or resume showing leadership roles, activities, interests, community service, and work experience
- Letter of recommendation from someone other than a school counselor or family member
- All requirements on checklist MUST be submitted to be considered for a scholarship
- Send all documents in one or more PDF format file(s)

Essay Details:
Address the question below in a typed, double-spaced essay and attach it to the application, either as one pdf or as a separate pdf.
Essay Question: “What is the most significant challenge facing your generation and what solutions would you propose? Include any reason and/or personal experience that has led you to choosing this challenge.”
Award Amount: $5,000
Award Details:
The scholarship will be awarded from the pool of applicants regardless of school. Award will be forwarded directly to the winner’s college or university.
