Scholarship Details:

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Citizens of the United States and a resident of Delaware
  2. Current high school senior planning to attend college next fall
  3. Planning to pursue a career in engineering

Application Requirements:

  1. Completed Application (available here)- pages 2-10
  2. Essay (page 11)
  3. Official Transcript- Attach or include with the email submission an official transcript completed by the school counselor. This may be mailed or emailed separately, if desired.
  4. Letters of Recommendation (optional, maximum 2)

Selection Criteria:

  1. Applications will be evaluated based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, essay, and letters of recommendation (if included).
  2. Applications are solely evaluated based on the information contained within the application. Please keep a copy of the completed application for your records.

Essay Details:

Write a maximum 500-word essay on why you want to become an engineer. Essay can detail your inspiration for becoming an engineer, future career goals, or anything else relevant to the subject.

Award Amount: $500

Award Details:

The scholarship winner will receive a one-time award amount of $500.00 for their first year of school. The award is not renewable.
The scholarship funds will be sent directly to the scholarship winner and must be used for tuition, fees, books, and supplies, as well as room and board if the student is living in oncampus housing. The award can only be used toward the expenses of the academic year
for which it was intended and not for prior student debts.
