Scholarship Overview: The scholarships are open to high school seniors who are residents of Kent County and enrolled in a Kent County high school.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Resident of Kent County, Delaware
  • Current High School Senior
  • Enrolled in a Kent County school
  • The applicant must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and be planning to attend a college/university for the 2024-2025 year.

Application Requirements:

Scholarship applications are now available online. Write to doverdeaauw@gmail.com and request a link to the scholarship application.  The application must include the following:

  • A 250-word essay outlining goals and how achieving these goals will advance opportunities for women.and girls.
  • Listing of extracurricular clubs/activities. Include a brief statement explaining how any of  these activities helped to determine an educational path.
  • Two letters of recommendation from non-family members. One academic reference is required.
  • Unofficial transcript issued by your high school.

The applications will be judged on the GPA, letters of recommendation, leadership activities, and community involvement.

Award Amount: $1,500

Award Details:

Awards will be made following the scoring of each complete application. The highest scoring individuals will receive the scholarship(s).
