Scholarship Details:
The Achievement Scholarship for Students with a History of Chronic Illness is available to graduating seniors or graduates of a high school in Delaware who have experienced a health-related issue, lasting at least 6 months, that impeded the student’s pursuit of their education are welcome to apply.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Experience with a health issue, documented by a medical professional, that lasted at least six months and impaired the applicant’s ability to pursue his or her education.
- Graduating senior or former graduate of any high school in Delaware
- Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor’s degree
- Preference is given to those enrolled in the First State School or any of its branches prior to or at the time the health related issue occurred.
- Past awardees are eligible to apply.
Application Requirements:
- Completed online application
- Documentation to be provided by a medical professional documenting the illness and its impact on students ability to attend school. Diagnoses on prescription pads are not sufficient.
