Scholarship Overview: LGBTQ students who are earning their undergraduate, graduate & doctoral degrees at accredited colleges in the United States

Scholarship Details:

The Flagship Scholarship is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer students earning a degree. Point considers many factors when assessing scholarship applicants, including leadership and community involvement, academic achievement, LGBTQ advocacy, and financial need.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be enrolled or intending to enroll at an accredited college or university based in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska.*
  2. Must be “out” as a person who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community.
  3. Community college students must be transferring to a four-year college or university.
  4. Must be at least a senior in high school.
    *Students enrolled or intending to enroll in a college or university in a United States territory, community college, online programs or trade schools are not eligible.

  1. Financial need or independence
  2.  LGBTQ advocacy
  3. Academic achievement
  4.  Leadership and community involvement

 

    *Students in college or universities in a United States territory or post-doctoral program are not eligible.

Award Amount: Various

Award Details:

Amount: Financial award based on need, renewable for up to four years of support.
Funding Period: Four years support maximum (Must maintain full-time enrollment for the academic year)

Additional Scholarship Information:

If selected as a finalist, the finalist must be able to record a video for the Point Selections Committee. More details are provided to those who reach the finalist stage.
Must be able to attend Point National Leadership Conference in Person in Los Angeles in the summer.
