BIPOC Scholarship
Scholarship Overview: Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC) and LGBTQ high school seniors and undergraduate/graduate students. (Fall Application)

Scholarship Details:
Generations of racism and an education system born from discriminatory policies have made clear that Black, Indigenous, and People of Color students face greater obstacles to educational achievement. When these challenges are combined with those faced by students who also identify as LGBTQ, the impediments can make a higher education degree seem impossible. This scholarship aims to mitigate these issues.
Scholarship Application is open twice a year and can be used for the upcoming term.
- Fall Application – can be used during next spring term or any term within 12 months of award.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Scholarship recipients must identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC) communities and LGBTQ.
- Must be enrolled or intending to enroll at an accredited community college, four-year college/university, or graduate program in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska.*
- Must be enrolled full-time or part-time (six credits) for the funded term.
- Must be “out” as a person who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community

- Financial need or independence
- Personal history
- Academic achievement
- Community involvement and work experience
*Students in college or universities in a United States territory or post-doctoral program are not eligible.

Funding Period: Funding is provided for a single academic term.
