Scholarship Overview: High school seniors and undergraduates who will attend DSU next fall and pursue a degree in food and agricultural sciences and related fields.

Scholarship Details:
Delaware State University’s College of Agriculture, Science, and Technology (DSU-CAST) introduces the 1890 Scholarship Program, which provides financial support to recruit, engage, retain, mentor, and train undergraduate students at the 1890 land-grant institutions, resulting in baccalaureate degrees in the food and agricultural sciences (see Appendix III for definition) and related fields
High School Applicant Eligibility::
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Have applied for or have been accepted for admission to DSU
- Have a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate with a high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.2 unweighted (on a 4.0 scale)
- Seek to study agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, or other related disciplines
- Demonstrate leadership and community service

College Applicant Eligibility:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Be a college freshman or sophomore
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Attend DSU
- Study agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, or other related disciplines
- Demonstrate leadership and community service

Award Amount: 3,000
Award Details:
Scholarships must be used at Delaware State University. The partial scholarship amount is up to $3,000 depending on the student’s educational needs. Scholarship re-award is contingent upon funding, the scholar meeting all re-eligibility requirements, and satisfactory academic performance (SAP) towards the completion of a baccalaureate degree.
