Scholarship Details:
The GPI Milford, DE Engineering Scholarship is available to Kent and Sussex County, Delaware residents who are planning to pursue a career in engineering. All application questions should be directed to Tina Shockley, Milford, DE Office Scholarship Coordinator at tshockley@gpinet.com or 302-632-2143.
Who may apply:
- Citizens of the United States.
- High school seniors graduating in Spring 2027.
- Children of GPI employees or GPI public clients are not eligible for the scholarship.
The scholarship:
- The scholarship is created by and judged by engineering staff in GPI’s Milford, DE office.
- The application deadline is midnight on January 31, 2027. Send all information to tshockley@gpinet.com.
- The application must be complete, including an official transcript, at the time of submission and may optionally include letters of recommendation.
- The scholarship winner will receive a one-time award of $500.00 for their first year of school. The award is not renewable.
- The scholarship funds will be sent directly to the scholarship winner and must be used for tuition, fees, books, and supplies, as well as room and board if the student is living in on-campus housing. The award can only be used toward the expenses of the academic year for which it was intended and not for prior student debts.
- Applicants are solely evaluated based on the information contained within the submitted application.
Application judging:
- Applications will be evaluated based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, an essay, and letters of recommendation (if included).
- Please keep a copy of the completed application for your records.

Essay Details:
Write a maximum 500-word essay on why you want to become an engineer. Essay can detail your inspiration for becoming an engineer, future career goals, or anything else relevant to the subject.
Award Amount: $500
