Scholarship Overview: Delaware Students who are newly enrolled first year medical students who have been accepted for admission in the fall of 2026

Scholarship Details:

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Be legal residents of the state of DE.
  2. Be newly enrolled first year medical students who have been accepted for admission in the fall of the current year (2026)

Application Requirements: Students must provide

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted.
    • Transcripts must display:
      • Student name
      • School name
      • Grades
      • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
  • A copy of your MCAT test scores.
  • First two pages of the most recently filed 1040 IRS Form (Please black out SSN).
  • A letter of recommendation from your principal or faculty adviser.
  • A copy of your Letter of Acceptance into Medical School.
  • A copy of your current, Delaware drivers license
  • You must also have a copy of your Pre-Professional Committee Evaluation mailed to Scholarship America directly from your college. If your college does not have such a committee, you must upload an additional three letters of recommendation from faculty members with the other required uploaded documents above.

Financial need will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need based on the Suggested Parental Contribution (SPC) as calculated by SAI. Students to provide SAI from FAFSA, or first two pages of parents’ 1040 return.
