Scholarship Overview: Graduating African American/Black seniors of a Sussex County public high school who will attend a nonprofit college or university next year

Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be a graduating African American/Black resident of Sussex County, Delaware
- Attending a Sussex County public high school and is in good standing
- Will matriculate into a non-profit college or university for the upcoming academic year.
Application Requirements:
- Complete the online application
- Email a copy of HS Transcript
- Email a Letters of Recommendation(s).
The applicant does not need to designate their selection of college or university at the time of the scholarship application.
The online application will ask the applicant to write a short paragraph of 500-1000 characters explaining why racial justice is important to them and how they have demonstrated commitment to racial justice through community involvement. “Community” can indicate one’s school, town, neighborhood, religious group, team, etc.

The Southern DE Alliance seeks African American/Black graduating seniors who have demonstrated their commitment to racial justice through community involvement.
