Scholarship Overview: Graduating Senior from a New Castle County High School that will attend Delaware State University in the Fall immediately following high school graduation

Scholarship Details:

A graduating senior from a New Castle County high school with a 2.50 GPA. Award will be based on three letters of recommendation, unofficial copy of SAT scores, unofficial high school transcript, a biographical sketch (personal biography about themselves & their home), & financial need.

All documents must be mailed to the address as provided in ONE PACKET, not piece mail as this will result in disqualification for consideration (simply put the applicant is responsible for gathering the three recommendations and all other documents and mailing in one packet to the post office box as provided before the due date).

Student must plan to attend Delaware State University in the Fall following graduation from high school.

Essay Details:

Essay is 1 page biographical sketch; this is an opportunity for the applicant to ensure the committee knows them; provide details as to why you should be chosen to include any hardships that would more than likely prevent you from attending Delaware State University

Award Amount: $1,250
Award Details:

Six scholarships will be awarded; there is a possibility that DE TV will partner with the chapter and provide the same amount for a Mass Communication major; this is not guaranteed but possible.
