Charles L. Hebner Memorial Scholarships (Formerly the Diamond State Scholarship)
Scholarship Overview: Merit scholarship for high school seniors attending an accredited institution full time in an undergraduate program.

Scholarship Details:
**The Delaware Higher Education Office is now extending our memorial scholarship deadlines to April 5, 2024. This extension is to accommodate the late opening of the 2024-2025 FAFSA.
Eligibility Requirements:
- High school seniors with an unweighted cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and a combined score of at least 1290 on the SAT or the equivalent score on the ACT
- Enrolled as a full-time student in an undergraduate degree program
- Delaware resident for at least 12 consecutive months immediately prior to the application deadline.
Application Requirements:
- Complete online application and add your student activities
- Provide academic information to the Delaware Higher Education Office (DHEO). DHEO will obtain academic information automatically for public school students. Private school students will be required to submit a high school transcript after completing the application
- Please Note – All application materials must be submitted by 4:30pm on 04/05/2024.

Renewable for up to three additional years with a cumulative GPA of 3.0

In order to apply for scholarships from the DHEO, you first need to Create your Student Account in the Delaware Higher Education Financial Aid Portal (https://higheredstudent.doe.k12.de.us/#registration)
Once you create your Student Account you will be able to apply for available scholarships through the online portal.
Helpful tip: The email address entered in the registration form will become your User ID. All notifications will be sent to this email address. Please make sure you use an active email address that you will check regularly. DO NOT USE your high school email address.
