Scholarship Details:
The Mary Vivian Myhand Outland Scholarship, sponsored by the Women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Delta Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter of Sussex County, Delaware, was established to support young women residing in Sussex County, DE, who are graduating high school seniors pursuing higher education. Scholarship funds are awarded to candidates who exemplify the principles of Scholarship, Leadership, and Community Service.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a Sussex County resident
- Must be a female graduating high school senior
- Must exemplify scholarship, leadership, and community service

Essay Details:
Essay must be the minimum of 500 words. This will need to include the candidate identifying career goals and the characteristics that she possess that will make her successful in achieving a college education in prospective major.
Award Amount: 500.00
Award Details:
Funds are to be used exclusively for educational expenses, including tuition, books, academic fees, and/or room and board at an accredited college or university. Payment will be made directly to institution upon confirmation of enrollment. The recipient must provide proof of enrollment (e.g., official class schedule or verification letter) before funds are released. Recipient will be named during scholarship fundraising event spring 2026.
