Scholarship Overview: Kent County residents who will/are pursue a degree in plant & soil science or a horticulture-related field

Eligibility Requirements:
- Kent county resident for at least 2 years
- High school senior or current college student
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Will attend an accredited college or university to study Plant & Soil Science, or a Horticulture related field next fall.
Application Requirements:
- Completed online application
- Official transcript
- 2 letters of recommendation from non-family members (One academic reference is preferred)
- Listing of extracurricular clubs/activities, awards and honors received, and hobbies and interests.
- College acceptance letter (high school seniors only)
- Essay
Selection Criteria– Applications will be judged on the GPA, the appropriateness of the field of study, letters of recommendation, leadership activities, and community involvement.

100+ word essay of education and career goals.
