Scholarship Overview: Merit scholarship for high school seniors planning to attend University of Delaware

Scholarship Details:
This is a merit scholarship available to high school seniors who will graduate from a Delaware public or private high school and plan to attend University of Delaware. This scholarship covers all education costs including tuition, mandatory fees, room & board, and books!
Eligibility Requirements:
- High school seniors with an unweighted cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and a combined score of 1290 on the SAT or an equivalent score on the ACT
- Will enroll full-time at University of Delaware in an undergraduate program
- Delaware resident for at least 12 consecutive months immediately prior to the application deadline.
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid ( FAFSA ) prior to the application deadline
Application Requirements:
- Complete online application and add your student activities
- Provide academic information to the Delaware Higher Education Office (DHEO). DHEO will automatically obtain academic information for public school students. Private school students will be required to submit a high school transcript after completing the application
- FAFSA must be filed prior to the application deadline of February 28, 2025.
Please Note – All application materials must be submitted by 4:30pm on 02/28/2025.

In order to apply for scholarships from the DHEO, you first need to Create your Student Account in the Delaware Higher Education Financial Aid Portal (https://higheredstudent.doe.k12.de.us/#registration)
Once you create your Student Account you will be able to apply for available scholarships through the online portal.
Helpful tip: The email address entered in the registration form will become your User ID. All notifications will be sent to this email address. Please make sure you use an active email address that you will check regularly. DO NOT USE your high school email address.
