Eligibility Requirements:

1. Be a current 5th grade student in the mentoring program at Joseph E. Johnson Elementary School.
2. Have demonstrated academic improvement since the 3rd grade.

Application Requirements:

1. Completed application*
2. Submit a brief paragraph describing their dreams for the future – education or career
3. Provide a written recommendation from their mentor, teacher or other school official describing their academic and behavioral progress at Joseph E. Johnson.

*This scholarship does not use the DCF’s online application at all. To be considered for these scholarships, you must follow instructions on the DCF website to obtain, complete and submit a separate application form.

Award Amount: $1,000

Award Details:

One-time award of $1,000 to be used for future post-secondary education or job training. At the discretion of the Delaware Community Foundation board of directors.
