Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O) PCE Grant for Women
Multiple grants of up to a maximum of $4,000 are available for women who are within 18 months of completing their educational program. This need-based grant program is one-time financial assistance to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to complete a degree or certification that will improve their marketable skills for employment to support themselves and their families. A student must be enrolled full- or part-time in an accredited U.S. or Canadian postsecondary institution and is living and studying in the U.S. or Canada.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You are enrolled in an accredited U.S. or Canadian postsecondary institution, F/T or P/T and have not earned a master’s degree or above.
- You have at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student sometime in your adult life.
- Is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program
- You are a citizen or legal permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada.
- You are living and studying in the U.S. or Canada for the entire course of study.
- You are within 18 months of completing your educational program
- You are enrolled in an education program which, at the conclusion of, will lead to employment or job advancement.
Eligible students are required to be interviewed by a local P.E.O. Chapter to be considered for this grant. This does not guarantee that the student will be selected for consideration or receive a grant if sponsored by the Chapter. Membership in P.E.O. is not a requirement for grant award consideration
Application/Selection Process: Students must complete and submit the Information Form for a Potential PCE Candidate Seeking Chapter Sponsorship

- Upon review of the Interest form, the chapter’s PCE chair may arrange an interview to assess eligibility.
- The Delaware P.E.O. will notify students if they were sponsored by a local chapter and thus eligible to complete an online application.
- After notification of sponsorship, the local chapter will guide the applicant through the formal application process.

If you meet the eligibility requirements, please submit a P.E.O. PCE Grant Interest form which can be found on the link to scholarship website. Applicants will be contacted to setup an interview and will be sent the PCE Pre-Application Income and Expenses Worksheet and Guide to complete.

Applications are accepted year round.
A chapter recommendation for this need-based grant must be submitted no less than eight weeks prior to the start date of the term for which the grant is requested; however, it cannot be accepted more than 14 weeks in advance of that date. This grant is awarded for one term only..
