Scholarship Details:

The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Current high school junior who plans to enroll in college the fall after their senior year.
  2. Must be an American citizen or legal permanent resident
  3. Above all, Coolidge scholars must possess a distinguished academic record (click here to learn more)

  2. Two Letters of recommendation (see guidelines here)
  3. Three essays
  4. Unofficial transcript with GPA

Award Details:

A Coolidge Scholarship is among the most generous college scholarships available in the world. It covers a student’s full tuition, room and board, and required fees for four years of undergraduate study. The Coolidge Scholarship also provides an annual stipend for books and supplies.

How is the Coolidge Scholarship different from other scholarships? The Coolidge Scholarship is America’s “unconditional” merit scholarship, granted regardless of geographic location, race, family background, family income, area of study or university to be attended. Coolidge Scholars are named prior to university application, and can take their award to any accredited U.S. college or university where they gain admittance.

By Summer 2025: All applicants will be notified of their outcomes. Applicants can check their outcome by logging into their application portal. Applicants who are named finalists will be contacted directly by phone and invited to Finalist Interview Weekend, which takes place in Woodstock, Vermont and historic Plymouth Notch, Vermont. The Coolidge Foundation will cover the travel and lodging costs for finalists and one parent to attend Finalist Weekend.
Summer 2025: Newly selected Coolidge Scholars will spend an orientation week at the Coolidge Foundation in Plymouth Notch, Vermont.
Summer 2025: Newly selected Coolidge Senators will attend the 2025 Coolidge Senators Summit.
