Faw Casson Future Accountant Scholarship

Scholarship Overview: Students graduating from a high school in Kent or Sussex County, Delaware, with plans to pursue a career in accounting

Scholarship Details:

Faw Casson is offering three yearly scholarships of $2,000 each to local students who plan to pursue a career in accounting.

Eligibility Requirements: 

  1. Must be a graduating high school senior from a high school in Kent or Sussex County, Delaware, or Worcester County, Maryland
  2. Plans to attend an accredited college or university
  3. Plans to pursue a career in accounting
  4. GPA of 3.0 or higher

Application Requirements:

  1. Completed typed application
  2. Brief resume of academic, social and volunteer activities;
  3. Official High School Transcript (must be in a sealed envelope)
  4. Academic Letter of Recommendation (from teachers, academic advisors, coaches, etc.)
  5. Personal Statement

Application Requirements: Essay, Letter(s) of Recommendation, Minimum GPA, Resume, Transcript

Essay Details:

A short statement (min 500 words) on one of the following topics:
• What is your first impression when you hear someone is a Certified Public Accountant?
• Why do you want to pursue a career in accounting?
• How would you describe yourself?
• How will this scholarship benefit you?

Award Amount: $2,000

Award Details:

One-time $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to up to three recipients
