Scholarship Details:
On behalf of the Dover Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Catherine B. Middleton Scholarship aims to support and recognize students committed to academic success, leadership, and meaningful community involvement as they prepare to pursue higher education. 3 awards are available for students who exemplify one of the following:
- Academic Excellence & Leadership
- Community Service & Civic Engagement
- Financial Need-Based Achievement
Eligibility Requirements
- Be an African American
- Be a graduating high school senior or enrolled college freshman student pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university.
- Reside in the Dover Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. service area.
- Demonstrate academic achievement
- Community involvement and leadership
- Meet GPA requirements (different for each award)
- Submit all required materials by the deadline

Essay Details:
Personal Essay/Statement: 400 (max) Word narrative explaining your personal goals over the next 4-5 years, community service aspirations and why you should be considered for this scholarship. Ensure proper grammar throughout the statement/narrative.

3 scholarships available – one for each of the 3 categories
Scholarships are for one year and may be eligible for renewal up to four (4) years.
