Alper Skyland Scholarship (TMCF)

Scholarship Overview: HBCU sophomores (as of next academic year) with financial need and a 2.7+ GPA majoring in history, English, math, or chemistry who demonstrate financial need.

Scholarship Details:

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and the Alper Skyland Foundation are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Eligibility Requirements:
  1. Be a full-time enrolled student as an undergraduate sophomore at any HBCU during the next academic year
  2. Open to the following majors:
    • History
    • English
    • Mathematics
    • Chemistry

Award Amount: $19,125

Award Details:

Eight (8) scholars will be selected to receive a renewable scholarship of up to $6,375 for the 2026-2027 academic year, for a total of up to $19,125 over three years (sophomore, junior, senior). The total eligible scholarship amount will be allocated in one installment during the fall 2026 semester (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).
