Scholarship Overview: New Castle County high school male senior attending a 4-year institution next year.

Scholarship Details:

The Gamma Theta Lambda Education Foundation, Inc., the charitable arm of the Gamma Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., is pleased to announce the following scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Be a graduating male senior attending a New Castle County area high school.
  2. Have a Grade Point Average (Minimum of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale)
  3. Have applied to an accredited four-year college or university
  4. Not be the child of a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc or the child of a Director of the Gamma Theta Lambda Education Foundation, Inc
  5. Must be able to show financial need

Application Requirements:

  1. Completed Application
  2. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and/or American College Testing (ACT) Scores (Optional for 2024)
  3. 3 References (only one may come from your school)
  4. Leadership Experiences
  5. Community Service Record
  6. Writing Sample (Typed Personal Essay)
  7. Interview
  8. Transcript

Application Requirements: Delaware Residents Only, Minimum GPA, SAT/ACT Score Report, Transcript

Essay Details:

200-300 word essay on why you feel you should be considered for the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity GTL Education Foundation Scholarship.

Award Amount: $2,000

Award Details:

Multiple students will receive scholarship awards in excess of $2,000.
