J.P. Morgan Wealth Management HBCU Scholarship Program
Scholarship Overview: Scholarship and internships for Black/African American college freshmen at an HBCU with an interest in a career in financial advising or wealth management.
Scholarship Details:
Be Black/African American, and a US citizen/US national/permanent US resident.
Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Be currently classified as a college freshman, and will be enrolled full-time as a college sophomore in the 2023-2024 academic year at one of the following HBCUs:
Alabama A&M University, Central State University, Clark Atlanta University, Delaware State University, Florida A&M University, Howard University, Morehouse College, Morgan State University, North Carolina A&T State University, Paul Quinn College, Prairie View A&M University, South Carolina State University, Spelman College, Tennessee State University, Texas Southern University, Wilberforce University, Winston-Salem State University.
Application Requirements
A resume describing your extracurricular activities, honors and awards, and community service activities.
An official or unofficial current college transcript.
A 1-page essay describing what you think the most rewarding part of being a financial advisor could be.
Optional: Applicants may submit up to two (2) letters of recommendation to enhance their applications. Recommendations are not required.

Additional Scholarship Information:
This scholarship opportunity is open to current college freshmen who will be full-time college sophomores in the 2023-2024 academic year at one of the 17 selected HBCUs. All majors are welcome! Applicants should have an interest in a career in financial advising or wealth management.
Scholarship recipients will receive a one-time $2,000 merit-based scholarship in the 2022-2023 academic year. In addition, selected scholars will be given an opportunity to apply to participate in two JPMorgan Chase & Co paid internship programs, the first in the summer between sophomore-junior year and the second between junior-senior year. Upon completion of the internship program, students will receive an additional $5,000 scholarship to be applied to their senior year.
