Scholarship Overview: Merit scholarship for high school seniors planning to attend University of Delaware

Scholarship Details:

This is a merit scholarship available to high school seniors who will graduate from a Delaware public or private high school and plan to attend University of Delaware.  This scholarship covers all education costs including tuition, mandatory fees, room & board, and books!

Eligibility Requirements:

Application Requirements:

• Apply online at Delaware Higher Education Financial Aid Portal
• The application will ask for anticipated 2026–2027 enrollment information (institution and major) as well as a list of student activities
• Academic records (GPA and SAT/ACT) and the 2026–2027 FAFSA will be required and collected during the review
  process
• FAFSA must be filed prior to the application deadline of February 28, 2025

Please Note – All application materials must be submitted by 4:30pm on 02/27/2026.

Award Amount: Full tuition, required fees, room, board and books at University of Delaware

Award Details:

Covers full tuition, required fees, room, board, and books at University of Delaware.
Renewable for up to three additional years with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
One scholarship is awarded each academic year.

In order to apply for scholarships from the DHEO, you first need to Create your Student Account in the Delaware Higher Education Financial Aid Portal (https://higheredstudent.doe.k12.de.us/#registration)
Once you create your Student Account you will be able to apply for available scholarships through the online portal.

Helpful tip: The email address entered in the registration form will become your User ID. All notifications will be sent to this email address. Please make sure you use an active email address that you will check regularly. DO NOT USE your high school email address.
