Scholarship Overview: Scholarship for undocumented students planning to attend Delaware State University next fall to pursue an associates or bachelor’s degree, whether entering directly, currently enrolled, or returning after a gap year.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Resident of Delaware
- Undocumented immigrant student with or without DACA or TPS and came to the U.S. before the age of 16 and before Nov. 1, 2019.
- Be a current high school senior or high school graduate with a GPA of 2.5 or greater (on a 4.0 scale); or
- Be a currently or previously enrolled college or university undergraduate student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
- Plan to attend Delaware State University
- Have significant unmet financial need;

Essay Details:
While we will consider your academic record and volunteer and community service activities in selecting finalists, the most important part of your application is your essay. This is your opportunity to let the Selection Committee know that you have the motivation and persistence to exceed in college and in life.
Your essay should be no more than 750 words max.
The essay prompt is: TheDream.US recognizes the challenges and aspirations of undocumented immigrant youth, also known as Dreamers. How has your journey and experiences as a Dreamer shaped your identity and perspective? In what ways do you envision leveraging who you are and your experiences to contribute to your community and college campus if awarded TheDream.US Scholarship?
Award Amount: $16,500
Award Details:
The National Scholarship Award will cover your tuition and fees up to a maximum of $16,500 for an associate degree and $33,000 for a bachelor’s degree, at one of our Partner Colleges. Please note, some Scholars may be eligible for an additional stipend of up to $4,000 (or $1,000 per year) for books, supplies, and transportation.
The award follows students through the completion of a bachelor’s degree and is renewable each year – Recipients must meet the continuing eligibility criteria and renew the award each summer.
