Ayn Rand “Anthem” Essay Contest

Scholarship Details:

Open to all 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students worldwide.  Anthem is Ayn Rand’s classic tale of a dystopian future of the great “We”—a world that deprives individuals of a name or independence.
Eligibility Requirements:
  1. Middle & high school students worldwide, ages 13 and older, have read Anthem by Ayn Rand.
Application Requirements:
  1. Submit an essay of 800 to 1,200 words on one of three topics available on the web page. Winning essays must demonstrate an outstanding grasp of the philosophic meaning of “Anthem .”

Essay Details:

Essays must be written in English only and between 600 and 1,200 words in length, double-spaced. Essay topics will be posted on the website.

Award Amount: $2,000

Award Details:

Top award is $2,000. Checks are mailed directly to winners with no restrictions on how the prize money is spent.
