Bridging the Dream Scholarship (High School Seniors)
Scholarship Overview: 40 students will receive up to $10,000 each to help pay for a two- or four-year degree, professional certificate, or vocational training.

Scholarship Details:
The Sallie Mae Fund’s Bridging the Dream Scholarship for High School Seniors helps students access higher education. Since 2021, in partnership with Thurgood Marshall College Fund, 120 scholarships totaling $1.15 Million have been awarded to high school seniors.
- Be currently enrolled as a high school senior
- Plan to enroll full-time as a first-time, incoming freshman during the the fall of next year
- Plan to be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary institution or continuous education program during the next fall:
- Two-year Schools
- Four-year Schools
- Vocational/Technical certificate/certification program
- Current cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher
- Must be Pell-Grant eligible
- Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
- Must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities
- Must be able to demonstrate good moral character in all aspects of your life, including personal, professional, educational, in your community, and online presence

Essay Details:
Create a 2-minute video responding to the following:
What unique perspective, passion, or curiosity drives your academic interests? How do you envision it shaping your future as a scholar and leader in your field?

Award Details:
The eligible total amount will be funded in two disbursements for the 2025-2026 academic year, based on the conditions outlined in the scholar’s contract.
