HODGSON VO-TECH ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR SERVICE, CHARACTER, AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT (2027)

Eligibility Requirements:
- Hodgson Vo-Tech High School graduating seniors
- Has demonstrated volunteer community service records
- Financial need (a brief statement supporting your need can be attached)
- Good standing with their school as measured by attendance and overall GPA (2.5 +)
- The award is based on volunteer community service, leadership, character and academic achievement.
Application Requirements:
- Applications open on 11.2.2026
- PDF application obtained from your school counselors or at our website: E-Clubhouse Glasgow Lions Club.
- Complete an Essay: “Share an experience you have had participating in community service activities and what that volunteer service meant to you and your community.” (limit of 300 words)
- Finalists could be interviewed by at least two scholarship committee members.
The scholarship committee of the Glasgow Lions Club will choose the final recipient. The recipient and his/her parents will be invited to be guests at a Lions Club meeting to receive the award

Essay Topic: “Share an experience you have had participating in community service activities and what that volunteer service meant to you and your community.” (limit of 300 words)
Award Amount: $1,000
Award Details:
$1,000 scholarship award. (one given per year)
Scholarship funds will go directly to an institution of the recipient’s choice. $500 will be forwarded each semester (up to two semesters)
