Eligibility Requirements:

1. Must be a Delaware resident living within 15 miles of City of Milford
2. Pursuing a degree in education or pre-medicine at an accredited institution (future medical school continuance of scholarship available)
3. In top 30% of their class
4. Must demonstrate financial need

Essay Details:

Margaret Richey was interested in funding a medical school student who wanted to practice medicine in an economically depressed area of the US or an underdeveloped country. Does this interest you and how would you pursue this?

Award Amount: $30,000

Award Details:

Four-year scholarship of up to $30,000 ($7,500 per year), at the discretion of the Delaware Community Foundation board of directors.
Student must maintain a 2.75 GPA and remain in their major to renew their award each year.
Potential for college graduate continuing scholarship if attending a Medical School.
