Scholarship Overview: High school senior planning to pursue a college degree in a food & nutrition-related program at a 2 or 4-year college or university.

Scholarship Details:

Applicant must be a high school senior. The scholarship award is contingent upon successful graduation. Applicant must pursue a college degree in a food- and nutrition-related program at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. Applicant must complete a DSNA scholarship application packet that includes:
• Completed scholarship application that includes student and building administrator signatures.
• A list of school and community activities in which applicant participated.
• A copy of the acceptance letter, including major, from the accredited college/university in which applicant will be enrolled in fall 2023. One letter of recommendation from an academic source.

Essay Details:

Essay of 500 words or less on the topic, “How do you intend to use your college degree in food and nutrition to have a positive impact on community wellness by promoting healthy eating habits and healthy lifestyles?” Essay must be typed and double spaced.

Award Amount: $1,000
Award Details:

One winner for each county.
