Scholarship Overview: Scholarships for post-secondary education to deserving and financially challenged students from DE’s member electric cooperative territories

Eligibility Requirements:
- The primary residence of the applicant’s parent or legal guardian must receive its power from one of the 15 electric cooperatives served by the Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives (i.e Delaware Electric CO-OP).
- Applicants applying for a scholarship must be a senior graduating from either high school or home school.
- Applicant must be entering their first semester at a post-secondary school (2-year college, 4-year college, or trade school) in the fal.

Award Amount: $1,000
Award Details:
A combination of weighted criteria is used in the selection process: 40% financial need; 40% academic achievement; and 20% personal statement.
Scholarship funds, which will be sent directly to the educational institution, must be used toward tuition, student fees, room and board, or textbooks.
