Keep Delaware Beautiful Scholarship
Scholarship Overview: Delaware high school seniors who show a passion for litter prevention, recycling, and beautifying Delaware.

Scholarship Details:
Keep Delaware Beautiful’s scholarship serves to offer financial aid to a Delaware graduating high school senior who has demonstrated a passion for Keep Delaware Beautiful’s three pillars; Ending Litter, Increasing Recycling and Beautifying Our State. One $1,000 scholarship will be, awarded and can be used towards any accredited college or university. The application deadline is June 1 of each year. The chosen applicant will be notified of their award by July 1.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a Delaware Resident
- Must be a Graduating High School Senior attending a public, private school or homeschool program in Delaware
- Will attend an accredited college or university next fall
- Demonstrate involvement in projects or organizations focused on one or more of the following areas:
- Environmental conservation / Litter abatement
- Recycling and waste reduction
- Community beautification
- Literacy or educational initiatives tied to environmental awareness
Application Requirements: Applicants must submit:

- Application Form (name, contact information, school information).
- Essay Response
- (Optional) Letter of Recommendation: From a teacher, mentor, or community leader who can speak to the applicant’s dedication to environmental or community work.
- Portfolio/Supporting Documents: Photos, reports, or other materials showcasing the applicant’s projects.
Selection Criteria:
The recipient should possess and demonstrate a passionate interest in Keep Delaware Beautiful’s three pillars; Ending Litter, Increasing Recycling and Beautifying Our State.

Essay Details:
Essay (500–750 words)
Prompt: What actions have you taken, projects have you worked on, and/or organizations have you been involved in that have contributed to beautification, recycling, literacy, or conservation in Delaware? Be specific about the project and explain why it was important to you.
Award Amount: $1,000
Award Details:
One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded and can be used towards any accredited college or university. Funds can be used for tuition, fees, or educational expenses.
